We’ve posted a few teasers on Facebook over the last several weeks and we’re excited to finally share the whole FUsioN film you! Once again, Lindsey was the lead photographer and I joined in to shoot some video.
How do I describe Cindy and Stan’s Long Island wedding?
Can you say Monsoon wedding?! I believe the final count was 7 inches of rain over the course of the day. It poured from the moment we started shooting until LATE that evening, finally stopping on our way home. No matter, these guys could care less, and rocked the night away. They must also know all that rain will bring them lots of luck!
The DJ featured late 90’s hip – hop and R&B tunes, bring back the days of Ginuwine, and Blackstreet, as well as a little TLC (and I don’t mean The Learning Channel). Let’s just say, Lindsey was in heaven as were there rest of the guests! I’ll let our FUsioN film take it from here…..
I’ve been so excited to share this wedding! We’ve had so much fun with Oshrat and Mike, starting with their super inspiring “Lauren Bacall meets Humphrey Bogart” IHNY session back in October.
We hoped for a bright sunny December day for their wedding but, unfortunately, rainy and cold was in order. No matter because it was HOT inside! :) You see the details in the post below so here we go…. some pics and, of course, our signature FUsioN film!

Fortunately, we were able to sneak downstairs, and use some empty space in the building that we literally just stumbled on. It wasn’t the cleanest place, but we made do!

This one is Lindsey’s and probably my favorite:

…and one last photo that Ross thankfully grabbed of some of my favorite clients (and now good friends) over the years. It started with Ophira and Joram back in 2002, then Juli and Scott in 2006, followed by Beth and Dan in 2007 and now Oshrat and Mike. Great seeing you guys!!
Hey guys, Lindsey here! Just wanted to share the teaser video and some detail shots we got from our last wedding of 2009- Oshrat and Michael, you both were graceful, kind and looked amazing!!! Your wedding at the Tribeca Rooftop was stunning. Thanks for letting us be a part of it, hope Argentina is beautiful!
Stay tuned for the full wedding video and blog post, coming soon! Bigtime thank you goes to The Jason Groupp’s newest member Ross Tanner for grabbing some of these awesome detail shots! We’re so psyched to have his talents on board, and be able to offer his unique style alongside the rest of the team! Make sure to check out his work!!

Final blog post for 2009!! Phew, what a year! I’m so happy to feature Ariel and Ian’s wedding for the finale!
You may remember their IHNY session back in October! These guys rocked it with us and we couldn’t wait for their wedding….
We’ve teased and teased them with lots of trailers, and I know their families are dying!
I think our FUsioN film says it all – Ariel & Ian are in love, no doubt about that! What I found incredibly touching, however, is the love each family had for each other. To be honest, I had trouble trying to figure which sibling belonged to which parent. :) They are all so incredibly close and it was inspiring to me to see such warm feelings on both sides…… and the crying never stopped. In a good way. I can’t tell you how many times I got choked up! Thankfully, I was able to hide my tears behind the camera. :)
Couple of side notes I’d like to mention about their wedding:
- Ceremony was at the Touro Synagogue. The oldest synagogue in the United States, it was founded in 1658. I have to say being in the building was quite humbling.
- Everyone got ready and stayed at the Hotel Viking, just up the street from the synagogue - quite convenient and a beautiful hotel. I’m definitely planning a getaway sometime in the future and staying there!
- Reception was at The Rosecliff Mansion, on Ocean Drive. Not only is the ride on Ocean Drive just spectacular, The Rosecliff is one of the most majestic venues I’ve ever had the privilege to shoot a wedding at.
On to the movie! If you have any problems viewing this – or if you like to watch in HD, please click here for Ariel and Ian’s FUsioN Film!
Here’s a few of my favorite shots from the day. Thanks again to both families for a wonderful weekend!

I’ve been looking forward to Sofi and Kanishk’s wedding since their IHNY session back in July. It’s no secret I ? photographing Indian weddings – the bigger the better! It’s always an insane, non-stop day but I always enjoy the traditions and beautiful colors to photograph. Earlier, I posted some of the details from their wedding which was at The Surf Club, in New Rochelle, NY.
To date, I think this may be the best fusion film Lindsey and I have created. What’s a fusion film? It’s a film we create by mixing stills (photographs) and high definition video, all shot with our DSLRS! We use the technology that’s available to us to create something totally unique, and much more fun to watch and share with your friends and family.
I’ll let the film do the rest of the talking! Big thank you again to our friend Pete Quinn for his help!

Ten years ago today I married the love of my life. It’s been a crazy ride over the last decade, but I can’t imagine doing it without her. Those of you who know us know that we’re not the “sappiest” of couples on the planet and we do enjoy keep it on the lighter side. Keeping that in mind as I wrote this – I thought a top ten list was in order…..
Ten reasons why I ♥ Elizabeth – (in no particular order of course!)
-She’s pretty :) (Is that the best I can do to start? Lame I know!)
-She is the most selfless person I’ve ever met
-Which makes her the best mom I’ve ever met
-She’s much smarter than me. As a result, I look much smarter than I actually am
-She believes in me 100 percent
-She is stubborn beyond belief, yet I find that endearing
-She’s funny
-and thinks I’m funny too
-She’s my best friend
-I know how much she will hate this list. :)

Better pic is coming! High res scan (yes our wedding was shot on film!!) is at the studio. :)
I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding at Buttermilk Falls Inn for the longest time. It’s nestled in among 70 acres of wooded, river-hugging land fronting the Hudson, the view is to die for. Best part is it’s such a short trip up the Thruway from NYC. Not only is it a beautiful Inn, but guests can also enjoy the amazing Buttermilk day spa on the property if they’d like. Hopefully, Liz and I can sneak up there sometime soon to enjoy it – their “peace retreat” package sounds just about right. :)
This was the perfect setting for Kara and Shane’s wedding- a laid back, beautiful location, with that eclectic flair they both have. I’m still in awe of Kara’s HOT red Melissa Vivienne Westwood heels, coupled with her amazing Amsale gown. The ceremony began with a surprise dance performance from Adele Berne, Christina Johnson, Colin Raygin for the guests, and officiated by Uncle Joe Tatelbaum. I love personal touches like that for weddings which makes them so unique and personal.
Once again, we lucked out with the weather, despite the forecast for rain all day. Big thanks goes out to the “fusion” crew Lindsey Thorne and Tim Co.
Thank you Kara and Shane for a fun day – FYI – I’m available to drive you around in a golf cart anytime! :) Check out the movie to see what I mean! Kara may have coined a new term – Lindsey’s not so sure. :)

Lindsey and I just got back from a beautiful weekend up in Newport, RI for a wedding at the Rosecliff Mansion. Here’s a quick post showing a teaser we did for them the night of their rehearsal dinner at Scales and Shells. It was great to have an hour with them the day before to chat and grab some pics. You may remember their IHNY session back in June.
More to come soon!

There’s nothing in the world quite like a wedding in NYC on a cool October evening. Kat and Sonny’s wedding at The Mandarin Oriental summed up what’s great about fall in New York. How can you go wrong when your wedding is planned around awesome NYC locations such as:
- Church of St. Paul the Apostle, one of the most stunning houses of worship in Manhattan!
- Reception at the fabulous Mandarin Oriental
A few photos, and one of our best films of the year! I’d LOVE to hear what you think! Leave some love below! Big time thanks go to Tim Co. and associate + right hand Lindsey Thorne – couldn’t have done it without you!
PS – if you have any trouble viewing/watching – visit their gallery here!

Drum roll please!
Hey guys- it’s Lindsey! Welcome to my first guest blog post! In case you don’t know who I am (or haven’t seen me with either blonde or brown hair in Jason’s videos) I am an associate shooter of The Jason Groupp along with doing whatever else Jason wants to throw at me!! =)
Last weekend Jason, special guest shooter Brad Pitt (aka Pete Quinn) and I shot Sofi and Kanishk’s colorful wedding at The Surf Club in New Rochelle, NY. You might recognize them from their awesome IHNY Session we did on the streets of NYC.
They had an incredible wedding day, and beautiful details with fresh flowers provided by Lisa at Westchester Florals. And here are a few shots I got throughout the day!

Hope you enjoy them! Check back soon for more pics and film!
