….it’s a short week, but an important one in the world of weddings! We’re preparing to get stuffed with Turkey, and all the trimmings, but there’s also some guys getting ready to pop the question! Here’s to BIG, BOLD, and BEAUTIFUL – one quick shot from Sara + Josh the weekend at Oheka Castle.
When it comes to NYC weddings, The New York Palace is a classic. You gotta love the details and old world charm of this place! Here’s a quick preview of Crystal and John’s wedding, but we’re gonna start in Central Park and outside The New York Palace. :)
……Quick teaser from Christine + Michael’s wedding at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ. BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, and COLORFUL! There’s no place like The Venetian! Add some Syrian music, and VOILA, you’ve got a party! :)
We’ve been fortunate to have so many beautiful weddings this year and to be featured on another fabulous wedding blog! This time we’re psyched to not only have one blog post, but THREE on Maharani Weddings! To me, when it comes to Indian weddings, they are the premier site, so we’re thrilled to be featured there.
Check out their blog posts featuring some sweet details HERE, HERE, and HERE! :)
Of course, I always like to feature their beautiful portraits, and fun candids, check them out here!
I’ve been wanting to post Allyson and Kevin’s wedding for the longest time! Not only can you find their pics here, but you can also see more on Style Me Pretty’s blog. If you’re a bride you MUST spend some time on their site!
It’s not secret I heart Nantucket, and everything about the island, but when you have such amazing people like Allyson and Kevin, it’s magical. They started off their weekend with a fun get-together at Allyson’s parents house – unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate, but that’s life on island right?

Allyson showing off her shucking skills. :)
….a few from the rehearsal dinner the next night. Gotta love the Nantucket reds!
On to the wedding day!! Blue skies, and bright sunshine! What an awesome day!

I wanted to share a few more pics from Sheeba and Bobby’s wedding at the Doubletree in Westchester, NY. Typically, we post them as individual photos, but I thought it would be fun to show you how we laid out some of their page spreads. Your weddings pics are so important, but don’t forget about the album! We love to do super clean, and contemporary designs. Here’s a few:
There’s nothing like a BIG Indian wedding! 4 days of fun, dancing, outfit changes, colors, ceremonies and LOTS of photos! Here’s a quick teaser from Roma and Samir’s wedding at the Sheraton in Mahway, NJ. The Sheraton is great hotel for these events because it’s spacious, easy to get around, and the staff is very accommodating. One of things I love about Indian weddings is the outfit changes, it gives me several opportunities to do portraits of the bride and groom. I’m going to a whole blog post just on their portraits coming soon!
One of my favorite venues in NJ is the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. Tucked away in this sleepy part of Jersey just a short ride out of NYC, the grounds of the Pleasantdale are to die for, and the perfect setting for any couples bridal pics.
We had a gorgeous day for Tracey + Chris wedding – here’s a few of their casual portraits.
I’ll admit I’m a sucker for everything New England. Someday when I retire I’d like to move to the rocky shores of Maine, and photograph lighthouses every morning. So whenever I have some extra time I try to hit up any lighthouses I can get to. Last week we were up in Nantucket to photograph Allyson and Kevin’s wedding (coming soon!) and had a few hours to kill before their rehearsal dinner, so off we went to Sankaty lighthouse.
As we pulled up I noticed a young couple sitting on one of the benches, followed by him leaning into his pocket, and gracefully getting down on one knee. Her hands immediately covered her mouth in excitement, and then thankfully hugs and kisses. :) Trying not to interrupt we did our best to give them their privacy, but I felt compelled to get a photo of them! :) After ten minutes or so I casually approached them to see if I could grab a snap to send them, I mean after all, SOMEONE needed to get their picture! :)
After congratulating them, I introduced myself, and they were more than happy to let me grab a few shots. I gave them my card, and asked for permission to post their story. :) Wishing you guys the best!!
Sheeba and Bobby’s wedding a few weeks ago was nothing short of an awesome family affair! Of course, when it comes to Indian weddings, that’s no small feat. :) I love photographing weddings, but I heart HUGE Indian weddings. While they are always LONG LONG days, they can be SO much fun.
Meet Sheeba + Bobby. I’m going to do their wedding in two posts, let’s start with a few of their portraits. It’s always great when we have the time to get some great shots….. just the two of them. We took these at the Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, which is a beautiful estate right on the Hudson River, a perfect spot for these pics!
