It’s always nice to get some props from people in the industry, and to be featured with such great talents, and friends of mine is quite an honor! You can check out the full blog post here – top 20 wedding photographers!
WEDDING SEASON IS FINALLY HERE! :) I’m proud to kick off 2011 with Shenaz + Xin wedding! This is probably the 10th wedding I’ve photographed for this group of friends, and it’s been an absolute pleasure. Every couple is unique, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of them.
Let’s get to a few of their portraits!
You never know what to expect with spring weather in NYC, so it’s always nice to have some extra to re-schedule should the weather not cooperate. Our original date was a total washout, but we lucked out with a gorgeous night last week, albeit a little windy, but some amazing sunshine to end the night.
I’m looking forward to Crystal and John’s wedding this upcoming fall at The New York Palace, which is one of my favorite venues in NYC. I was also told the guys would be wearing kilts – that’s always fun. :)
Here’s a few from their IHNY session last week!
I think most couples are a bit nervous before their engagement session, which is understandable. I mean after all we don’t get our pictures taken every day right? Tracey and Chris mentioned they were a little nervous, but you’d never know it! Of course it’s my job to make you comfortable. ;)
Their upcoming wedding at The Pleasantdale Cheateau is just around the corner! Can’t wait!
We’ve done a few projects with Emily and Matt since their wedding, but haven’t posted any pics of theirs on the blog. They had a beautiful wedding at Bridgewaters in NYC, I love this venue because it’s one of the most scenic backdrops you could ask for in downtown Manhattan.
Lindsey here!!! I’m finally not slacking! I’ll be posting a lot lately so stay tuned =)
Here’s a teaser of Jo-Ann and John’s amazing New York City wedding at Skylight West. More to come soon!
After planning my wedding with my wife (coming up on 11 years!) I got a front row seat into how challenging it can be. You want every detail to be perfect, and the day to run a smoothly as possible. We of course have no control over the weather, but do what we can to plan for the worst! Hiring the right vendors you know you can trust is imperative who know how to handle every situation…..
Now let’s talk about Diya and Johny’s wedding. :) Not only were they planning a wedding for 400+ guests, BUT doing it from the other side of the country! Honestly, I can only imagine the challenges they faced, and I know they worked hard on every detail. During their IHNY session back in June we talked about all the planning they had left. Fortunately, they were in the good hands of the folks at The Villa at Mountain Lakes, and the awesome team from Rose Events. Here’s some pics from their event!
More to come soon + their FUsioN Film!
I win!
So the votes are in, 1,451 votes against Zack Arias 1,242 votes. My single best image won with 867 votes. In the original post my photos were 1, 3, 4, 7, & 9. Zack’s were 2, 5, 6, 8, 10.
Zack came in second place with 509 votes with this image…
Zack – I got nothing but love for you. I respect you as not only a photographer, but as a friend, and a family man. We go back quite a few years now, and I don’t think I know anyone in this industry as talented, humble, and honest as you are. I admire your integrity, almost to a fault – you’re a leader and I’m thankful for that.
In Zack’s defense, he had just come off of teaching 2 days of workshops. I know firsthand Zack doesn’t do anything half ass, and I know he was tired. I had the home field advantage, AND I did know the models very well. Truth be told, I wish I could take credit for my genius in adding Dan to the shot. I just needed another VAL (voice activated lightstand) and he was available.
Zack – I enjoyed kicking your ass, and I look forward to next year! Whatever the results may be, I’m the winner because I get to spend some time with ya….. Till then!
BTS video coming soon! Also need to thank our models, Amanda and Sean for being awesome as always!
It’s been about ten years since I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding on Nantucket, and I’ve forgotten just how beautiful it is out there. Unfortunately, it was a quick trip and we didn’t get to spend much time there (what else is new!) so I got up early the day of the wedding and took an early stroll around downtown Nantucket.
Here’s some of the shots I took…. it was fun being a tourist! Soups are back! :) More from their wedding soon!
I’m on a roll! 2 days in a row of blogging! :)
With Megan and Matt’s wedding quickly approaching this weekend, I knew I had to get their IHNY session up on the blog! Their session included some fun neighborhoods downtown including TriBeCA, and Little Italy. We enjoyed an awesome meal right on Mulberry St., which I have to admit was a VERY “touristy” thing to do, it was a blast! I’ll save some of those highlights for their FUsioN video….
On to the pics!
