Once again, I find myself neglecting the blog! Ugh. :) I’m not sure where this HAZY HOT HUMID summer went! I just got off the phone with a bride coming in for an appointment, and to my shock I realized my next available appointment was September 2nd! Where did this summer go!???
I hope you’re having a great summer, Elizabeth and I have been enjoying a few summer nights outside with the kids. They are growing up so fast! Eli, who just turned one allowed me to grab ONE pic of him before climbing on top of me. Phoebe is a much more willing subject, and as I was going through the archives, it is definitely true what they say about second siblings. I have SO many more pictures of her – I know, I know, I’m the photographer…. How ’bout that crazy curly blond hair? We both have pin straight black hair, well at least mine use to be black. LOL
Got lots of fun stuff to post soon! I promise! :)
I’m excited to announce our feature on The Wedding Yentas today!
Carly and Jack have been so much fun to work with, and their wedding was filled lots of emotion and dancing. I heart Orthodox Jewish weddings, and even though I often like to blog my clients portraits, I love those “moments” that make up every wedding. However, when it come to big weddings like these, it’s also really important to know where to be and after 23 years, I think I’m pretty good at it. :)
Thanks Carly and Jack!
Quick wedding video teaser, featuring Jenny + Jeff at their July 4th 2010 wedding at The Inn and Longshore, in Westport, Connecticut.

Along with our signature IHNY sessions, you’ll get a custom designed guest book as described in the post below. Not only that, we’ll put together an awesome movie to accompany your shoot.
Here’s Kathy and Steve’s FUsioN film – can’t wait for their wedding coming this Friday!

Lindsey, Chris and I are having such a blast with this year’s IHNY sessions! I gotta thank Kathy and Steve for the most EPIC IHNY session ever! Here’s a quick teaser to give you an idea. :)
For those of you who have been following the site, you know we’ve been working hard creating new videos. However, I have to make a confession.
We have a secret weapon. His name is Chris Bruno. :)
Chris has been working with us to create some of our FUsioN Films, recently started joining us on IHNY sessions, as well as weddings. He’s going to be a big part of our team and we’re excited to be bringing him on board.
What does this all mean?
We are officially announcing the addition of filmmaking to our services!
Chris will be the main cinematographer, and will handle all the editing of our IHNY films. We’ll be posting more about our services in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you’d like more information please contact me – jason@jasongroupp.com
To celebrate this news – I’d like to share our first “next day edit” that Chris created from Beth & Russ’s wedding in Pebble Beach, Aruba!

You may remember Cadence and Eli’s IHNY session a few months ago. You could see from their FUsioN film that their wedding was going to be unique, and they didn’t disappoint! I’ve only spent a little bit of time in Minneapolis, but if all the weddings there are like Cadence and Eli’s wedding - I’m packing my bags!
If you’ve read a few photographers’ blogs, you know we like to mention how much fun we have. I’m going to forgo that cliche in this entry since I think the end of Cadence and Eli’s wedding says it all. :) Thank you, guys, for a fun couple of days — we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Onto…..cemetery chapel, drumlines, and boxing gyms!
We’ve posted a few teasers on Facebook over the last several weeks and we’re excited to finally share the whole FUsioN film you! Once again, Lindsey was the lead photographer and I joined in to shoot some video.
How do I describe Cindy and Stan’s Long Island wedding?
Can you say Monsoon wedding?! I believe the final count was 7 inches of rain over the course of the day. It poured from the moment we started shooting until LATE that evening, finally stopping on our way home. No matter, these guys could care less, and rocked the night away. They must also know all that rain will bring them lots of luck!
The DJ featured late 90’s hip – hop and R&B tunes, bring back the days of Ginuwine, and Blackstreet, as well as a little TLC (and I don’t mean The Learning Channel). Let’s just say, Lindsey was in heaven as were there rest of the guests! I’ll let our FUsioN film take it from here…..
A stroll in Central Park never disappoints, but on a beautiful day – it is just incredible. Cherry blossoms blooming, trees and flowers beginning to grow and of course, boats gliding across the Lake under the Bow Bridge.
It was the perfect setting any director would have dreamed for. Check out Carly and Jack’s FUsioN film discussing their upcoming wedding at Temple Emanuel next month!
