Six years ago I photographed Anthony and Elyse’s wedding, gosh time flies! Since then I’ve been fortunate to see them again over the years at their friends, and families weddings. I must say though, I feel very honored to be asked by my clients to photograph their first memories as parents. Meet baby Julian!!! In the words of Karen (more to come introducing her soon!), “How freakin’ cute is this little guy?” :)
It’s been a crazy start to summer here at the studio! We’ve had some amazing weddings, IHNY sessions and awesome seminars. Last week, we participated in a project organized by Rob Nicholson called the Photog Shootout. Over 60 photographers from all over the country came and it was a blast.
That evening we went back to my studio for a demonstration of Qui-Keys, which was created by my good friends Dave and Quin from DQ Studios. When Rob and I were planning the evening after the shootout, I offered to do the demo myself, but when I emailed Dave he replied, “Hey, the family needs a vacation, how ’bout we come down and give the demo?”
I was thrilled to see my friends and get to meet their adorable kids Tobi and Levi. Of course, what would a trip to NYC with the family be like with out an IHNY session? Welcome to a very brief sneak peek into IHNY kids……. coming very soon!
Speaking of that. We’re looking for a few awesome families to join the INHY kid portfolio. If you’re interested please email me (jason @ jasongphoto.com), BUT, there are a few requirements:
1) you must be able to shoot on a Tuesday – Thursday, in the late afternoon.
2) Kids must be at least 3 years of age
3) you must be willing to work with me on a concept for the shoot. This is not a portrait sitting at Sears. :)
4) you allow me to use your images on the website, blog, facebook, etc.
You get in return:
1) A disc of all the images
2) The IHNY kids session, free of charge!
I look forward to hearing from interested parties – I think this summer will be filled with lots of fun shoot.
