We miss you Bobby.

It’s been 8 years, so much time has passed. Liz and I have had two children and many of his close friends and family have as well. They will never meet him, but I’m proud to one day tell them the story of my friend Bob. We miss you – you will always be in our hearts.

I’m reposting my blog entry from last year, because it says it all.

(From 9/11/08)

I cannot believe it’s been 7 years since that tragic day here in NYC. While the horrible images were seen across the globe, it hit very close to home for my family and friends….

One of my best friends was killed that day while trying to help others. “Fireman Bob” was doing what he loved. As I wipe tears from my eyes typing this, it’s amazing how quickly the emotions from that day….and the weeks and months following….come rushing back. The image of that first tower falling in front of me 20 blocks from where I stood will forever be etched in my mind.

I’ve never done a blog post about 9/11, but as we get further from the date I realize the importance of remembering ….or rather never forgetting…..and I’d like my blog post to remind you about my friend Bob.

We miss you buddy and will never forget what you did.
